about
me ... An
active and integral participant in the movement
that has broken the mold of traditional wedding photography
over the past decade, Dee Conway places a unique emphasis
on capturing moments that are beautiful and emotional. She
sets herself apart by tapping into the sensitive energy
of the moment, creating images that spark an intimate connection
between subject and viewer, capturing uniquely memorable
nuances.
“The natural, cultural, and architectural visual richness
that I experienced while living in Europe compelled
me to not only deeply experience these wonderful things
for myself, but to document the beauty for others. I found
my interest in photography very moving and inspiring, I
love imagery and photography has been my preferred medium
of choice. I took the camera to the streets and cafes, to
the Swiss and Italian alps and more. What was intended for
commercial work found its way into several private art collections,
including those of Frans Huysmans and Cristina Lund after
some private exhibits in Switzerland. My work is currently
part of the collections of the Goldstrom Gallery, Modernbook
Gallery, and Angelico Gallery in the San Francisco area.
“
In the year 2000 WeddingVisions was created as a passionate
business with a purpose to create artful and meaningful
imagery of the wedding celebration in all that it entails
-from a bride putting on her wedding gown before walking
down the aisle, to the ceremony ritual with the warmth of
family and friends, from the flowers and the cake, to the
celebration of spirit. Blurring the boundaries of convention
in wedding photography, my approach to weddings with the
same passion and commitment as my artistic projects was
a great success. Notable clients include Arthur Dunkel,
Faith Ford, Matt Franco, Bevin Kaye, Fry’s Electronics,
and is a frequent shooter at the ranch of Clint Eastwood.
She has been published for her wedding work inInStyle, People,
Modern Bride magazines and Entertainment Tonight. Based
in the San Francisco area she shoots locally and on location
and is available for commercial work and special projects.
